When we refer to users (“Users”) we mean all individuals who use the Service, including those users granted access to the Service via their employer or another company (“Customer”).
Publisher℠ (the Service) allows Users to manage their journalist and influencer database, send them relevant information, manage events or product placements of all types, and measure the impact of their communication campaigns through media and social media monitoring. The Service provides Users with an access to Influencer Search Engine which allows them to identify the most relevant contacts for their campaigns.
Updates in this version of the User Policy reflect changes in data protection law. In addition, we have worked to make the User Policy clearer and more understandable.
To find more quickly the information you are looking for, please look at our table of contents:
Please read this statement carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it.
This User Policy covers the treatment of personal data (“Personal Information”) gathered when you are using or accessing the Service. This User Policy also covers our treatment of any Personal Information that our business partners share with us or that we share with our business partners.
This User Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control, including but not limited to any third party websites, services and applications (“Third Party Services”) that you elect to access through the Service or to individuals that we do not manage or employ. While we attempt to facilitate access only to those Third Party Services that share our respect for your privacy, we cannot take responsibility for the content or privacy policies of those Third Party Services. We encourage you to carefully review the privacy policies of any Third Party Services you access.
In addition, a separate agreement governs delivery, access and use of the Service (the “Service Provider Agreement”) and the processing of Customer Data.

- IP address information and other information collected automatically
We automatically receive and record information from your web browser when you interact with the Service, including your IP address and cookie information.
Generally, the Service automatically collect usage information, such as the number and frequency of visitors. We may use this data in aggregate form, that is, as a statistical measure, but not in a manner that would identify you personally. This type of aggregate data enables us and third parties authorized by us to figure out how often individuals use parts of the Service so that we can analyze and improve them.
As with most websites and technology services delivered over the Internet, our servers automatically collect information when you access or use our Service and record it in log files. This log data may include the Internet Protocol (IP) address, the address of the web page visited before using the Service, browser type and settings, the date and time the Service were used, information about browser configuration and plugins, language preferences and cookie data.
We collect log information (IP addresses or users’ information) for different reasons like:
– Detecting or preventing fraud, and unauthorised access;
– Help users and address their needs while using the platform;
– Help users to know who did what and when;
– Keep improving our product in terms of features scope and security needs.
We collect statistical information about how both unregistered and registered users, collectively, use the Service (“Aggregate Information”). Some of this information is derived from Personal Information. This statistical information is not Personal Information and cannot be tied back to you, your Account or your web browser, unless you give us the explicit agreement to do so.
We collect content that has been made publicly available on the Internet (including Personal Data) for monitoring purposes. Such content is accessed and used by us. Such content is also maintained, accessed and used by Users on the Publisher platform in connection with our provision of the Service.
We also contract directly with external providers (Media Database providers) to gain access to their information (including Personal data) that could be then included to the Contact database of the Customer. When you are using contacts originating from Media database providers within the Service, the Media Database provider is Data Controller of their personal data and Augure is Data Processor.
In the course of using our Service you may also provide us with personal information about third parties, in particular information regarding Contacts that we do not hold. You may also choose to supplement or enrich with your own information contacts originating from our Influencer Search Engine or third-party Media Database providers. In this case, Augure is a Processor of this data and you, as a User, are the Controller as we store your Contact Information, but you decide and are responsible for what happens to this data.

User’s Google Data. If you use the MailTo Module, we may collect data from your Google’s user account for the following usage:
- User’s profile: avatar and users first and last name.
This data is loaded after authentication is complete and refreshed every time we open change preference page on our application.
The usage is only for preview and nothing of it is stored in our database.
- User’s email:
We are using this information for preview in change preference page.
This data is stored in our database. This data is needed when we create appointment in Augure application.
The email is then packed in participants as an email, so that calendar service can identify participant as organizer of the appointment. The email is removed from database when user is logged out of the google account.
- List of user’s Google Calendars
This list is loaded so that user can specify which calendar will receive publication for creation, modification and deletion of calendar events. The calendar names are used just for preview on our change preference page and the only data that is stored in our database is calendar id.
we can publish creation of calendar event in specified calendar when we create appointment in our Augure application. We also publish modification and deletion of Augure appointment to corresponding event in specified calendar. The only data that is stored in our database is event id. This id is removed if we delete our appointment or if the user is no longer a participant in Augure appointment.
- List of user’s Google Tasks
Load the list of user’s task lists, so that user can specify which task list will receive publication for creation, modification and deletion of tasks.
The task list names are used just for preview in our change preference page and only data that is stored in our database is task list id.
The reason we didn’t used restrictive scope is because we need to publish creation, modification and deletion of tasks to specified task list. When we create task on our Augure application, then corresponding task will be created on specified list. Same will be done for modification and deletion of task in Augure application.
The only data that is stored from google task is the task id. This id is deleted after we delete Augure task.
